Soluzioni commerciali e industriali
Located in Italy, Novalogic, an electronics manufacturing company founded in 1972, aimed to reduce grid dependency, improve energy reliability, and achieve its sustainability goals. SolaX provided a comprehensive commercial & industrial energy storage solution integrating PV generation, battery storage, hybrid inverters, and EV charging. The project combines 2 × SolaX ESS-AELIO (50 kW) hybrid energy storage systems with 200 kWh battery capacity, a 178 kWp rooftop PV system, and 2 × 22 kW EV chargers. This integrated solution helps Novalogic maximize renewable energy utilization, increase self-consumption, enhance energy resilience, and optimize overall energy management.
Customer Challenges
Novalogic aimed to address several operational and energy-related challenges:
Reduce electricity purchased from the grid
Increase on-site energy self-sufficiency
Eliminate production interruptions caused by grid micro-outages
Improve operational sustainability
Utilize excess solar energy more efficiently, including EV charging and grid export during periods of low demand
SolaX Solution
SolaX designed a complete C&I energy solution featuring:
2 × 50 kW ESS-AELIO hybrid energy storage systems
200 kWh battery storage
178 kWp rooftop photovoltaic system
Hybrid inverter supporting 200% PV oversizing, allowing simultaneous battery charging and load supply
Dual backup architecture with:
• Zero-interruption backup for critical electronic loads
• Intelligent restart of non-priority industrial loads within approximately 5 seconds
Integration of 2 × 22 kW EV chargers, enabling vehicles to charge primarily using locally generated solar energy
Project Results
After commissioning, the system delivered significant operational and financial benefits:
Near-zero grid electricity consumption during much of the year
Increased energy independence through higher self-consumption
Improved production continuity with advanced anti-blackout protection
Additional revenue opportunities by exporting surplus electricity to the grid or local energy community during weekends and seasonal low-load periods
Reduced operating costs and carbon emissions
Renewable energy also powers employee EV charging, further improving overall energy efficiency
